For whatever reason, H and I both have Costco Visa cards but they are completely different numbers and are billed separately and receive reward’s separately
When I get my Costco rebate check, I just use it on my next purchase. If it’s more than the purchase, I get cash back. If it’s less, I put the balance on my card.
If I wanted to apply the rebate toward some other special purchase, I’d just move the same amount from my regular funds to whatever special holding place I had set up for the rebate money.
4% back on gas – bought anywhere, not just Costco gas AND EV charging!
I had forgotten you can deposit it to a checking account. I do what @snowball does- keep the cash and my DH hits it to pay his trainer, we pay the cleaning lady, etc. Hugs to you, @snowball 
I don’t apply the $ towards another costco purchase unless the Feb. $$ is a low amount. I’d rather get the credit on my card toward the rebate for the following year.
Looks like you can now direct deposit your Costco Reward Certificate this year. If this has been available previously, I am unaware of it. This is part of the email I received today:
Redeeming your certificate is easy! Since you’ve earned more than $300 in cash back rewards, you’re eligible to redeem your certificate for a direct deposit. After you receive your certificate, simply log in to your account via Citi® Online or the Citi Mobile® App and visit the Rewards Detail page. To redeem for cash or merchandise, just present your certificate at any U.S. Costco warehouse, including Puerto Rico.

I must have spent WAY too much money with my Costco credit card this year, because I got the email saying I have over $1100 coming to me. 
. I put everything on this credit card, unless there is surcharge to do so.

It has been for at least two years now. That’s how I got my $$ last year and in 2022.

My email took me to a link as to how to do it, but since the statement isn’t here yet so I didnt look further
I guess I totally missed it the previous years then as my certificates were definitely more than $300!
