Stupid Question that's been haunting me

I’m currently a HS senior and have been interested in attending law school for the past couple of years now.

Is it permitted to apply to a university’s law school and also its grad school?
Example: Applying to UCLA grad school (poli sci major) and also applying to UCLA law school (or do we have to choose only one?) Thanks!

There are joint degrees. Most law school admissions sites would tell you which joint degrees they offer.

UCLA offeres a law degree with a joint degree in Afro-American Studies, American Indian Studies, Public Health, Public Policy, Social Welfare and Urban Planning. If you are looking for a graduate degree in Poli Sci, UCLA would not be the best choice unless you’re willing to settle for Public Policy.

If, at the time of application, you’re not sure which program you want to go into, then yes…you can certainly apply to both.

(I’m not sure from your original post whether you’re interested in mchllhcm or my own interpretation of your question, so hopefully one of us hit the nail on the head :))

lol, thanks! i’v never thought of joint degrees but now i’m relieved since i thought that we could only apply for one program

thanks!

Haberdashery: You’re too young for this question, or for that matter, any questions about law school, to be “haunting” you. Put aside those questions for a couple of years so that you can enjoy college and explore the possibility of going into other fieilds of work. Then, say in your junior year, think about law school again, maybe.

thanks! yeah, i tend to get paranoid about grad school but i do hope that my interest does not fade and i agree that i should be exploring other fields
