Stupid question: When you go home from the weekend, do you take everything home?

Like all your clothes…

It’s the best way to prevent things from growing legs and walking away. Young people these days have sticky fingers.

No.

Pack up your laptop, small electronics (ipod, cell phone), and any prescription medicine you have at school and head home. Keep some clothes at home so you don’t have to bring clothes back and forth.

Ditto on what nysmile said. Just take your valuables like your laptop, ipod, cell phone, and CHARGERS and possibly laundry if your parents are ok with it. =) If you can though, try to stay at school on the weekends more often than not, cause it will help you integrate into the college experience and be closer to your classmates, or else what’s the point of paying so much to live on campus in the first place?

There is no point to pay to live on campus in the first place. I have to deal with those boring buttholes during class, why deal with them on the weekends?

God, of course not. I just bring valuables and whatever I will need for schoolwork or entertainment.

I am coming home most likely every weekend. I hope that won’t affect my social life negatively.

L.m.f.a.o.

To answer your question: I take my laptop home and my books if I plan to study over the time I’m away from the dorm.

I don’t take much clothes home; just the clothes that I’ll wear.

I’ll take anything that is important to me that I wouldn’t want to get stolen if someone or somehow someone broke into the dorm while I’m away or my roommates/other people ransacked my stuff while I’m away.

No.

Take a couple outfits, your laptop, and whatever work you need to do along with your toiletries and you’re good.

Lol, hope people on your floor have different tastes in clothes? No, I think I’ll take a couple items and lock up anything valuable. Just try and set some ground rules with your roommate(s) to prevent things walking away.

Haha. Ground rules don’t mean much. Things still walk away with certain types of people…or their friends who visit. And Vanagandrm I personally like my classmates…so I’m not sure if it’s just the people at your school who are disagreeable or if you just have a negative outlook or you’re just anti-social…but believe it or not, most people ENJOY being around other people. I still say why pay so much to live on campus if you’re just going to go home on the weekends when most of the social stuff is going on at school.

Going home every weekend will hurt your social life. Don’t do it.

^ That’s not necessarily true. I went home nearly every weekend to work and my social life was just fine, thanks.

I brought home laundry, laptop, and some homework. Luckily, I had my car and it wasn’t a terribly long drive.

Going home to work is one thing. Going home just to go home is another. What are the reasons for going home?? Is it to stay connected with friends from hs? If your friendship is strong enough you can last not seeing each other every single weekend; if it’s not you will be making plenty of friends throughout the rest of your life. However, if you go home because of work, that’s a different story.
