<p>Uhh all those beta, theta, mu and blah what do they mean? I’m so confused. And what’s the point of Frats and Sororities really? I mean I see a group of ppl together, but what makes them a group? I know I’m really out of it, I’m so clueless</p>
<p>Alpha, Beta, Delta, Theta, etc. are just letters of the Greek alphabet. They’re strung together, usually in sequences of three, to form the name of the society. That’s all they are…just a name. I don’t know about the origins of this naming system, though. And I’ll defer to someone more in the know about the purpose of frats/sorors (?) for your second question.</p>
