I’m applying to jobs and their surveys/personality assessments are asking questions like:
- Are people mean to you?
- Do you have any regrets?

Well…now of course that’s totally relevant to being able to do a job.

I’m applying to jobs and their surveys/personality assessments are asking questions like:

Well…now of course that’s totally relevant to being able to do a job.

What do you mean? Is this part of the application process? If so, what kind of job is it?

Well, I guess the first one has to do with whether you see yourself as a victim in your life or not…

i like the ones that are like

There’s no use having close friends; they only hurt you. (Strongly Disagree, Disagree, Neutral, Agree, Strongly Agree)
Some people just need to get what’s coming to them! (Strongly Disagree, Disagree, Neutral, Agree, Strongly Agree)
I often feel depressed, like I can’t handle daily life. (Strongly Disagree, Disagree, Neutral, Agree, Strongly Agree)
I have no motivation to make goals for myself. (Strongly Disagree, Disagree, Neutral, Agree, Strongly Agree)
I have in the past 6 months used intravenous drugs. (Strongly Disagree, Disagree, Neutral, Agree, Strongly Agree)

ohhh low-wage employment…

Haha, I love those questions. Last month I applied for a supermarket job and got asked questions like, “True or false: I avoid other people, because all they do is annoy me.” …okay… even if someone did feel that way, how dumb would they have to be to say so on a job application? The only thing those surveys are good for is identifying people who are not willing to lie in order to get a job.

I hate those questions! And there are 30 pages of them!
