stupid titles

Am I the only person being annoyed by these stupid titles everyone is giving? Can we just not say “hey please chance me?” Instead of thinking its funny and by trying to grab someones attention by saying “I once killed a man.”

Enough with this already please.

It works, and it’s much more exciting, so why not do it?

How does it work if you know every thread is going to be about someones chances?

i agree its really annoying and not funny or clever

Spoilsports. =)

It works for me. If I get a choice between “I once killed a man” and “Chances???” I choose “I once killed a man.” Much more promising. And thsoe threads have far more replies than those with mundane titles. Looks like it works for me. It breaks up the monotony.

they’re funny… casual posters ignore the normal titles b/c they’re boring

chances are, in essence, boring. i have no qualms against people attempting to liven up this rather serious thread.

Yeah, imagine why admissions officers want to see something “interesting and distinguishing” in a candidate. For a forum that has such a clear purpose, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with trying to grab a some extra attention for oneself. It’s kinda fun to flaunt a bit of wit here and there :wink:
Let’s just not forget to be more cautious in our admissions essays, lol.

I think a fancy title makes me want to read a chances thread even more. Adds a little spice to the typical overachieving person.

It doesn’t matter to me…

Ahh nvm. As long as some people don’t take it to far.

um not that i care but “i once killed a man” is pretty far lol

w/e it doesnt matter u no they r askin to get chanced
