Are three long, well-defined sentences (150+ words) enough to be considered a paragraph??

I’ve never had to write a paragraph for a class before (always papers!), so I’m not sure what constitutes a paragraph in a collegiate writing situation.

Are you done saying what you want to say? I just go by that. However, my worst grades are always in English classes…

I think what I have now is a nice summary and exactly what I want to say, but I can make it longer if absolutely necessary.

50 words per sentence seems a tad much. If thats how you write in college, you should be fine, but have you thought about taking a longer sentence and making it into two sentences? It really shouldn’t change what you want to say, but it will make it appear better than 3 sentences.

I’ve split it into 5, and might work on it some more tomorrow. The rest require some structural changes to split, and I just really don’t want to attempt it when I’m about to go to sleep.

there are no rules to how to write a paragraph. (well, except the fake rules junior/high school teachers tell you). If you got your point across, with evidence where appropriate, with a good intro and conclusion/transition to the next paragraph, your fine. You should never write more then you need to, that is when it starts sounding wordy.

Thanks! I’m just going to leave it as is!
