<p>I’m talking about the required alcoholedu we have to do. The information present is tired and boring and didn’t tell me anything I didn’t know before. However, in an attempt to be funny/scare you program mentions the following consequences of alcohol consumption.
“inappropriate laughter”
“riots”
“may cause balance impairment”</p>

<p>I suspect that this is an attempt by the administration to try and weasel out of any legal ramifications in case of anyone on campus doing something stupid and/or dangerous while drunk. Like that football player who stole a landscaping maintenance vehicle and drove it down campus drive. </p>
<p>For example, if someone dies and there is an outcry about the campus culture u can sure bet that Duke will point to the required program in order to show its “concern.”</p>
<p>AT the very least I think it should be voluntary, not mandatory. anyone disagree?</p>
