Subject Test Advice

i wrote something, but then i realized this was the wrong thread… lol, i meant to put it in the subject test forum… so… uh yeah…

Um, I definitely DON’T recommend Spanish with Listening if you only got a 4 on the exam. Plenty of people who get 5s on the exam end up with SAT2 scores in the 600s…so think about what a 4 might land you with.
If I were you, I’d take World History and Math 2c. Study your butt off for both of those, and don’t waste time studying for another one. Those two are ones that you can do really well on if you spend a lot of time studying using prep books (Barrons, etc). Things like Spanish you just can’t prep for. I don’t recommend taking US History, either. A 3 on the AP exam doesn’t foreshadow an SAT2 score in the 700s.
Don’t take tests if you don’t have to. Stick with the 2 tests that are required. World History is easy to prep for and Math 2C is pretty much the same. A lot of people with relatively low SAT1 math scores do well on the 2c.

I’ve taken Spanish for a couple of years and am taking Literature next year, plus I’m a heritage Speaker (although English is the offical home language)… so I should do well… plus listening is involved… and unless they’ve got this horrible castilian accent… i’m okay…

is barron’s the best prep book to use for subject tests too? i used their prep book for AP us history & spanish (didnt use one for us govt or english lang)… ill be taking a trip to the bookstore soon… lol
