I am wondering if colleges care at all about how many semesters of a class you’ve taken in relation to the score you got on the related subject test.
For example, would a score of 750 in Biology from someone who had only taken 1 semester of biology in all of high school be more impressive than a score of 750 from someone who had taken 2+ semesters? Would/do colleges even consider that when reviewing an application?

Bumpity bump bump

Colleges never put in the kind of convoluted thinking that members of cc do. They see a 750 as a 750. People on cc look at a 750 and think they lost out on 50 points and have to take the test again. Colleges know that a 750 is a good score, and the student on any given day might score a 770 or a 730.

what if I did badly in SAT Bio ( about 600 ) but was ranked in the top 5 for the course in my school?

Will colleges doubt my ability in the subject?

I wouldn’t send a 600 regardless, take another subject test if possible, also, I don’t think schools receive your ranking in the specific classes.

If you have good grades in general but one “bad” SAT score, the college will figure you had a bad day. If you have taken other subject tests and done better on those, that will definitely send the message that the 600 is an exception to your general performance.
