Subject tests?

So I didn’t take the subject tests, as I said earlier, I could take this month but they aren’t guaranteed for review. Should I even bother applying? My GPA is only a 3.5 and my SAT is a 1790.

weighted 3.5

we have the same exact stats haha…I think you have a good chance as long as you have other things to support your low SAT score like recommendations and essays and upward trend it grades

yeah i think im going to go for it… hby?

what school in BU are you applying to?

actually i have 1800 but thats not a big diff lolol. and arts and sciences for english/bio. they really only care about CR+M, so if youre applying for engineering or a special school (idk about comm) or something thatll be harder

Nice! Im thinking SAR but im also considering CAS. Do you know if one is harder than the other to get in to? Im looking at health science so SAR would be great for undergrade… but I also could go CAS with bio… lol I love last minute applying!

haha ik well i think SAR is going to be harder to get into…i would apply into CAS first to get in more safely and then see if if you get accepted you can transfer. BUT i would do research first to see how hard it is to get into SAR (look at other ppls posts and see what their stats are) and maybe research and see how hard it is to transfer into once you are accepted. (also make sure you check YES to the optional CGS button on the application. thats even easier to get into than CAS and will make it safer for you to get in if you let them consider you for that a little bit easier school)

for ex, even though all my majors of interest are in CAS, im not going to tell them im interested in biology and science with a 590 chemistry subject test, b 1st semester in ap bio, and low math score haha. im going to put down my other interest (english) which ive had more steady grades in and better scores in the english sections of the SAT. then, if i get accepted i could definitely pick up biology if i wanted to because thats not hard to do

ohh ok thanks! good luck, im sure youll be fine tho!
