Submatriculation and other questions

Hey all! I’ve been looking into the Industrial & Systems Engineering department at UW, and it looks pretty interesting. With AP credit and whatnot, I would be able to graduate comfortably in 3 years. Based on looking at the website, I have gathered that the Masters program (coursework only) would take 3 quarters or one academic year, as 41 credits are required. How is admission to the Masters program? Would a cumulative GPA of 3.5+ and a great personal statement suffice? Does the program, in fact, take one academic year to complete?

For Upper Division Admission for ISE the average prerequisite GPA for admitted students is around 3.3. If I have above that average and write a good personal statement, should that be enough to gain admission? Also, how do they count prerequisite courses that were completed with AP Credit? Are they omitted from the GPA calculation?
