Quick question: If a college has a deadline on 12/1, does it improve your chances of getting in submitting it earlier on let’s say 10/1 than submitting it on 11/1?

The express interest factor is very subtle even if it is considered, but having one month less to revise the essays may have larger impact. If you are sure your application is ready for submission ahead of time, do submit early to get it out of the way and avoid any unexpected delay by other party around prime time.

A college isn’t going to give your app preferential treatment if you submit it well before the deadline. There is a deadline for a reason. However, it’s possible that your app might be given a less-rushed review simply because an ad officer might have more time to look at it. So no harm submitting early if you are ready.
