Submit or not submit 32 ACT

For my reaches, 32 ACT Composite is gonna be from 25-50% according to the CDS. I am happy with the score as it is in 97th percentile and I think adds to the app, but because of score inflation with TO it is below median for my reaches. My GPA UW is going to be around 3.6/3.7 depending on how this sem wraps up. Would you submit?

This is not enough info to make a recommendation. Most CDSs are from class of 2026, so two cycles ago.

Have you asked your HS counselor? If not ask what they recommend.

Actually I have been able to find the class of 2027 for most colleges.

D24 has similar stats: UW 3.7, ACT 32, with high rigor and good EC. She submitted scores and was just accepted (ED1) to her reach school that has average accepted GPA of 3.9 and ACT midrange range 33-35 with only about 1/3 of students submitting scores. The AO said submitting the 32 score would neither hurt nor help her, but I believe it probably helped because I think her GPA was the relatively weaker than her test score. Who knows…but she got in! Good luck to you!

Need more info but my daughter submitted to all but Rice (reject). Don’t know if you go public or private or how your gpa matches the school of interests gpa but based on the limited info you gave, maybe submitting provides comfort in combo with the lower gpa (if it is lower - ie regular public school).

GPA is a little below (have around 3.65 average is 3.8) and went to private school

Thank you! I have a feeling that if you dont submit it leaves a big question mark, so I am leaning towards submitting.

I think a score should be submitted if you believe it fairly represents you. You don’t want to end up at a school where you don’t belong academically.

You’re probably better off submitting it. A 32 is pretty good, and if you don’t submit it, they’re going to assume it was lower.
