<p>I was recently accepted ED to my dream school. The financial aid that the school offered isn’t anywhere near feasible for me to be able to attend. My parents and I are in the process of speaking with the financial aid office about increasing the college’s contribution. In the meantime, would I be breaking my contract by applying to other schools?</p>

<p>If you’re more than 75% certain you won’t be able to attend, I would begin to get your essays written and start filling out forums. Don’t submit anything, and try to get an answer either way before your backup schools’ deadlines. If the financial aid office bumps up your offer, you won’t have violated your contract. If you can’t make a compromise, you’ll be ready with applications to other universities. It’s close enough to most Jan. 1st deadlines to make this pretty challenging. Good luck.</p>
