Submitted application with wrong date of birth

Yesterday, I submitted an application to my state school with the wrong date of birth in my common app. I realized it when I tried to login to check the status and it said wrong date of birth. I put 2001 instead of 2002. Should I email the admissions at the school and explain that my date of birth is not 2001? I am really surprised I didn’t catch the mistake, I changed it on my common app now but it’s of course already sent to the school.

Yes, go ahead and do that. They should be able to correct it for their records.
