Submitted my applications - Anybody want to "chance" me for fun?

<p>The next few months until decisions are released are going to be the longest of my life! Anybody want to chance me for fun? I have applied to the following:</p>

<p>Amherst
Brown
Cornell (AEM)
Georgetown (MSB)
NYU (Stern)
Villanova (VSB)
Lehigh (CBE)
Fordham (CBA)</p>

<p>These are my stats:</p>

<p>GPA - 4.0 from a CC (51 credits complete, will have 67 finished after this semester)
30 ACT and 1360/1600 SAT (submitting ACT)
Recs should be good and I think my essays are good
ECS: Phi Theta Kappa, another honors society, a business club, tutoring (math and econ), two part-time jobs
HS stats: GED, explained in essay (explained how it was for a medical reason that is now resolved but didn’t go into specifics)</p>

<p>Nah, I’ve seen people here apply to many more schools :). I do genuinely like each of them and I wanted to cast a wide net to keep a lot of options open.</p>

<p>Also if anybody decides to chance me, I’m not applying for aid so I hope that can give me some kind of edge at need-aware schools like Brown and NYU.</p>

<p>I think you got a pretty good shot at GTown, NYU, Corenll, and Villanova even though their programs are extremely selective.
And I’m there with you on the waiting part.</p>

<p>Yeah, the waiting is the worst part. It’s such a feeling of helplessness. I just got accepted to my safety though so I can take comfort in the fact I actually have somewhere to go next semester.</p>

<p>Anyone else? I feel particularly nervous about my applications due to having a GED so if anybody knows of any success stories please link them :)</p>

<p>You have a good shot at all of the schools. However, I don’t know how the Ivies will look at your below-par high school record. The 4.0 is good but it’s at a CC. They usually look for people who would have almost gotten in if they applied from high school in the first place. Good luck with your applications!</p>

<p>are you applying out of freshmen year, or sophmore? I think you would have a better chance of getting into a few of the schools if you applied later.</p>
