Son took ACT last Feb and earned a composite score of 28 with an essay score of 11. He is retaking in Oct, but did not sign up for the writing portion (the one school he is trying to raise his score for does not require the writing portion). If he self-reports the earlier score and the second score, and if his composite improves as he expects, will schools look at the self-reported writing score along with the higher official score sent through ACT Inc. after the Oct test?</p>
