Submitting new standardized testing score

I just got waitlisted at 3 schools, and I want to know whether or not I can upload new scores to them, hopefully to make my application look better and get off the waitlist. I recently took the March SAT, and was wondering whether or not I should send them my new scores, as the one I submitted wasn’t the best.

When you send your letter saying that you are accepting their WL offer, you can also say you want to add you SAT score to your file.

That is unlikely to change your desirability, but it might make you feel better.

Oh, i wasn’t aware of sending a letter about accepting their WL offer. I merely thought the option through the portal was enough. And if i do include it, would it come off as annoying/desperate?

You should accept the place on the portal. You can then send an email saying that you only received WL offers, are committed to going to BS, and would accept a place in their class if one came as you believe you would be very happy there. Of course, if you get an offer – having said this – you would have to take it and remove yourself from other WL.

You can then provide any relevant updates, such as a new score, any awards you have won, etc. If you applied for FA and now need less - perhaps a grandparent has offered to pay some amount per year – let them know that as well.

At the end of the day, it is the needs of the school that will most likely determine whether you or some other candidate gets the call, not whether your application was sub-par.

Please read the thread on the WL. You will be well-served by understanding this process well.
