Submitting scholarships

Recently, I have noticed many scholarships prefer email submissions instead of sending essays/attachments in the mail. What would be the best way to compose an email for submitting a scholarship application? I want to sound professional and convey that I am grateful for the opportunity.

Thanks!

Keep it simple:

“Please find attached my ____. If you need anything further, please let me know.

I am grateful for the opportunity, and I look forward to hearing from you."
