<p>What type of people and environment will I be living in being in a substance free area at West Quad? By the way, is it just a floor that is substance free within a hall? How far away is the nearest gym/rec center? How close is it to LSA classes? Thanks for your help.</p>
<p>With regards to substance free, I lived in a substance free hall in Couzens this past year. College kids are going to be college kids, whether you live in substance free or not. Substance free reduces the amount of people who drink/smoke, but it doesn’t eliminate it. Substance free has stricter punishments if you get caught drinking/smoking, but overall the atmosphere of your hall will be dictated by how strict your RA is with regards to enforcing the rules.</p>
<p>Nearest gym/rec center would be the CCRB or the IM building. IM building might be a little closer but I’m not 100%. Probably 10-15 minute walk to CCRB and 10ish minutes to IM building. </p>
<p>West Quad is pretty much prime location for LSA classes. No class should be more than a 10 minute walk away. </p>
