Subway to JFK? A or E train?

which way is quicker after the 1 train?

Take E train at Port Authority or

A train?

to connect to JFK Airtrain?

E, IMO. Check hoptstop too.

E tends to be faster coming from Columbia…
i prefer taking the LIRR from Penn Station to Jamaica station - adds between 4-8 (depending on time of day/week) dollars to the trip, but it is faster and more comfortable.

E runs express through queens. A runs local through brooklyn before getting to queens.

E will save you about 20-25 mins all told, even including the extra distance to Jamaica from Federal Circle relative to that of Howard Beach. You won’t realize how fast you’re cruising down Queens Blvd.

If you don’t have time to take the E, though, the LIRR will indeed do the trick.
