Succeeding in other countries vs. here

Do you ever wonder if something is not working out for you in the USA or doesn’t seem to be bright, to try your chances in another country?

I’m sure people on here/people’s folks have done this. For example, my dad was born in Istanbul…he moved here to start a business in a politcally secure place and somewhere which would be accepting of all people (he’s Jewish Turkey is literally 99% Muslim).

What about trying to become a writer and screenwriter (that’s me but for anyone else- businessman, scientist, etc.) in Australia, Canada, Britain, or Ireland?

Not to hate on America because I feel passionate toward our nation but

1) the economy is a wreck

2) the consumer culture…i hate it. and i’m not just a George Carlin (bless his soul) poster but mostly everybody is so superficial and materialistic and attached to their stupid i-phones and what not

Look at Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. It’ll give you some idea.

[Maslow’s hierarchy of needs - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Maslow's hierarchy of needs - Wikipedia)

You’ll notice that material well-being (having house, good healthy nutrition, going to vacations) is put before friendships, family. Without physiological and Satefy needs, is of course possible to have 3 above, but its much harder.

Not everybody is superficial. You’'ll find good friends as long as you are friendly and open-minded. Just do not show your jealousy for their materialistic-well being (like i-phone). No single person can be happy if he/she has money but no good relationships/friendships.
