In terms of success, people have argued that it is a student’s performance at a school and not the school itself that is important. Students accepted to top schools but who opt not to attend for financial reasons are reported to do as well as those who attended. Many on this site also suggest that top students planning to attend medical or law school go to less competitive schools where they can shine compared to their peers. Here is some data that supports the argument that sweating it out at the more competitive school may bring awards. What do you think? (see the ratings here at this link then come back and discuss!).The full list is very interesting so look at that also if you have time.
