What successes do Bizecon majors have in terms of getting accepted to top MBA programs? How difficult is the major overall?

dontcha,

Sorry to be blunt, but this question is essentially meaningless. Your major has little bearing on acceptance into b-school, outside of your ability to prove your mettle (think engineers.)

The major is probably somewhere among the top 3 “non-south campus” majors in terms of difficulty. Don’t underestimate it. At any rate, focus more on your grades and work experience than getting into some future program. You can get into a top b-school with a major in English if you rock the GMAT and have some good work experience.

it is the accoutning that makes bizecon harder, very dull and meaningless work. economics portion is easy because ucla does not go too indepth. frankly, there are not many entering into top mba programs out of ucla bizecon.

thanks for the responses…^why not?

I hear people with 3.6 HS GPA pull a UC Davis –> Yale for neurobiology,
so I was thinking a UCLA bizecon degree w/ good work experience could really open some doors for b-school

Can’t very well do all your financial work without a pro forma statement, now can you?

Do you have any data to back up this assertion? You make a lot of strong statements around here without anything to back them up.
