I already have a semi-finalized college list, but I would like some more suggestions to see if I skipped over a good school - specifically matches since I have too few matches.
3.9x GPA
Top 5 percent of class
1400 SAT (my weakest point of my app. definitely not a bad score, but it seems like everyone has high SATs here)
1st gen (hook?)
Extracurricular: President of a few clubs, 12th grade senior leadership class, hospital volunteer as well as volunteering at two other places (can’t list: impossible to broadly describe without being specific)
Projecting strong recs
Projecting a strong common app essay
You, rightly, could benefit from a review of all schools that might be appropriate for you.
*Note that the actual scores shown have been superseded by the newest calibration of the exam. However, the ordering of the schools will have remained approximately the same.
Yes, you would still need to cross-reference with a current source (e.g., IPEDS). However, the analysis in reply 1 will help you determine your overall scope, as appropriate. You will also see universities and LACs side-by-side, an aspect not common to many rankings.
What’s your home state? Have you run any Net Price Calculators to know what your EFC is? Do you know how much your family can/is willing to pay each year? Geographic interests/limits? Small, medium or large schools? Rural or Urban? What are you interested in studying or any particular ECs or affinity groups you’ll be focused on in college? Sports and Greek life important/unimportant/neutral?
All this information will give you the best feedback – otherwise it’s a bit like darts on the board.
Also, if you share what’s on your list now it’ll help folks suggest similar colleges that might not have made your radar so far.
And congrats on your great success in high school – well done!
