Suggest schools for transfer student

For a variety of reasons, I ended up at a state university. After spending a year here, I’ve concluded that it’s not a good fit for me at all (I’m not a fan of classes with 300 students minimum, among other things). Could anyone suggest schools for me to consider?

HS GPA: 3.4/4.07 weighted (3.9/4.5 before mom passed away)
College GPA: 3.7
ACT: 30
SAT math: 750
SAT reading: 660
SAT writing: 640
College ECs: running club, Global Medical Brigades, volunteer at health clinic, res hall government, enrolled in Honors College

I’m looking for a school that has:

Between 1,500 and 6,000 students
Small classes
Strong chemistry/sociology department
A warmer climate (not a requirement)

Tuition isn’t a problem. Some of the schools I am looking at are Willamette University, University of the Pacific, and Oberlin College (reach). Any other suggestions?

Thanks for your help!

Check out Rice University

Here is a recent video that involved some transfers

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

Rice would be awesome, but I think that it’s a huge reach for me. Any other ideas?

You should have good chances at any schools below the top 25 as far as national universities go. Not as familiar with LACs though.

Look at Tufts and Brandeis. (They’re up north, but I believe both have good science departments)
