extracurriculars - collaborated with one pretty well known performance artist, web projects with 150,000+ exposures (you should’ve heard some of the college interviews I’ve had, ha), youth group leader of one of the largest regional groups in an international youth group, worked in my city with drug prevention & police/town boards…i run philosophy club…i founded my school’s literary magazine (60+ members)…

essay - about a social web project i did with ze frank (a web artist) which generated 60000+ words of writing from more than 400 people…20,000 views…and how it shows how far i’ve come from social problems in my beginning high schools years

suggestions for safeties and matches? looking to study cognitive science or neuroscience…

Hopefully in a city (the bigger the better) – 3-10k undergrad (would be nice to keep it small) – liberal arts availability – interdisciplinary-minded – broad outlook

My reaches are ED to Columbia, WashU st. louis, Tufts, U of Rochester, Vanderbilt

Oberlin College, Syracuse, Emory I put down, not sure what they are to me. My counselor said Syracuse was a safety with my GPA and SAT at my school.

I especially would like two other safeties, to make me feel good :)

They have no integrated neuro/cogscience program and really, Oberlin was only on there (in the middle of nowhere, blah!) because it has an unusually high reputation cognitive science program for a small libarts college. Other ideas?

Johns Hopkins has a great program and is in Baltimore.

The University of Pittsburgh is a bit larger than your requested size, but it’s smaller than many state schools. The neuroscience is very good and it’s right in the heart of Pittsburgh.

Johns Hopkins would not be a safety. U PItt would also be a high match rather than a safety since they factor GPA and Rigor as most important. I think Case Western would be a match/high match.
