<p>I can’t make it to my sister’s birthday bash. The invitation requested desserts, and I’d like to have something delivered that will be wonderful.</p>
<p>I know a lot of companies deliver cheesecake or chocolate decadence cake. Can anyone recommend one company and a cheesecake or other dessert that is consistently good? It will be going to California.

<p>You may want to give more information, like what city in California, to see if anyone on CC has any suggestions. I’ve had very good luck with contacting a local company directly and having things delivered in town. Having said that, you can’t beat Harry and David for consistently good products and Juniors cheesecake is to die for!</p>
<p>I ordered a key lime cheesecake for my S for his birthday from Junior’s. They sell them on QVC and my S said that it was really good. You can also order cheesecakes from the cheesecake factory.com. They are the same desserts you get in the store so I’m sure they would be excellent</p>

<p>Dean & Deluca has some gorgeous cakes, but they’re crazy expensive! Williams Sonoma also has some beautiful cakes for mail order (at less than half the price).</p>

<p>Edible Arrangements are great if there is a local franchise that delivers. Get one with some of the fruit dipped in dark chocolate. You can view choices online. The fruit is the best I have eaten, and I have eaten their arrangements in several different states.</p>

<p>I like the idea of the dipped fruit, but the party is on Sunday, I wonder if the fruit would hold up if it’s delivered on Saturday?</p>
<p>Karen, we have the most ridiculous/awesome cupcake place here and they ship…Enjoy cupcakes in Los Olivos CA (you can google). These aren’t your mamas cupcakes!
There is also an amazing cookie place here that ships hotcookie.com. I have been sent these and they were unbelievable.<br>
If you want to stick with a whole cake idea the cheesecake would probably ship well and you can’t go wrong with The Cheesecake Factory.</p>

<p>Well, the Cheesecake Factory just lost out on a sizeable order. Tried three times to convince the online order form that my name is on my credit card, but it insists on insertinb my sister’s. Back to square 1…</p>

<p>This is almost comical. I guess that the Juniors website doesn’t like taking orders from a Mac. It won’t show me the calendar or let me pick a delivery date. I guess I will try to order from one more company, and after that she’ll get flowers from a reliable site, or maybe just a phone call.</p>
