Suggestions for hotel in Savannah

I’m trying to plan a mother/daughter trip to Savannah. Does anyone have any hotel suggestions? We are looking at Riverstreet Hotel. I know we want to be in the historic district.

If you really want to be pampered, try the Mansion on Forsyth Park. It’s one of a new line that Marriott is offering, so if you have Marriott Rewards points, you may be able to use them. It’s truly lovely and the service is impeccable.

Lots of bed and breakfast options. I’ve stayed at the Hamilton-Turner Inn and was quite happy with the experience.

The Bohemian is a new hotel on River Street that looks great! I don’t know anyone that has stayed there yet, but the lounge gets great reviews and the reviews of the building locally are good. The River Street hotel (is that the name?) is very nice, the last time I was in there was several years ago and it was just a walk through.

The Mansion is very nice, but it is about a 20 minute walk to River Street.

The Hyatt on River Street is centrally located, although it has been there for almost 30 years so it’s not quite as new, but I haven’t heard any complaints about the condition.

Thanks for the replies. I thought the Mansion looked nice too, but I think I’d rather be closer to River Street. The Bohemian does look great, may read up some more on that.
