Suggestions for non-offensive gag gift for 60 year old female

An apron for barbecuing that says “60 and still smokin hot?” “Vintage 1955” Aged to Perfection t shirt or mug. The zazzle site has some goofy stuff like that.

Great ideas!! Thank you so much! The Cafe press idea reminded me that you can get Cafe Press stuff on Amazon and since I have Amazon Prime, I looked there are found this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ENGSEWS?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00 I don’t think she’ll wear it out much, but fun to wear around the house. I love the idea of the gag gift box!

These are some lovely fun gift ideas. I’m bookmarking this thread.

If shopping at cafepress make sure to look for additional discount promo codes online.

That’s pretty cute, walkinghome. I’d wear it! Well, under my fleece.

I really hate “You’re so old” birthday cards and gifts. I just have no sense of humor about it at all.

If you are expected to give a gag gift, I like the kind of thing BunsenBurner suggested.

OMG!! Love these! I have several added to my cart.

I like that wine glass holder!

^^LOL!!!

I vote you just give her @saintfan 's kitty’s outfits

This was my Super Bowl party outfit. I just got it out because all the grad party talk on the “are graduation announcements tacky?” thread got me in the mood. I though, “Tacky? I’ll show you tacky” :-*

Between trying to limit my consumption for a more eco-friendly life and as a contributor to the “Bag a Week” decluttering thread, let me add my dislike of gag gifts. All I can think of is another thing probably made in China that won’t be used and will clutter up someone’s house or the landfill. I guess I don’t have a sense of humor. :stuck_out_tongue:

doschicos, Believe me, I’m with you. which is why I asked for some help here. It was only because it was specified on the invitation that I’m doing it. Also, our whole friend group is going to hit this milestone within the next few years and we all seem to be cleaning out our parents houses and looking at our own clutter. I went with the t-shirt because I don’t have much time to get it and I think my friend will actually wear it a little bit. I have to say that I loved the boxes though and did put a couple in my Amazon cart. They can be re-used, right?

I know this isn’t what the OP is looking for…but the best themed 60 birthday I’ve ever been to was for a good friend. The theme was “Toys from the birthday girl’s childhood”. We all brought toys that she might have played with as a youngster…so much fun! Hula hoops, Barbie dolls, etc.

She got to open a ton of fun gifts.

They were all donated to a place here that collects things for children…and new toys are at a premium. Plus, this gals birthday was in December, and the party in November, so some were probably used for Christmas gifts for less fortunate families.

I SO need to buy those Pet Sweep things - pup needs to clean up after himself!!!

This place has lots of great “old” stuff…look through their listings…How about a bottle of “Evening in Paris”??

A useful-but-silly gift like a big-print edition of a popular book could be donated to the library afterward.

granny2 (what an apt name for a contributor to this thread!) I love the Vermont country store! It’s even more fun in person! I may well get a bottle of the “Old goat Natural Pain Relief” for the next one of our guy friends that turns 60! Now that’s something that might be used!

How about this alternative to a box of Depends?
