Suggestions for non-offensive gag gift for 60 year old female

We’ve been invited to a surprise birthday party for a friend who will be turning 60. On the invitation it said, “Gag gifts welcome/required!” I’m not a fan of old people gag gifts, but don’t want to be a poor sport. Any suggestions on something that’s actually amusing and not just stupid? Party is next week.

I got my brother a goat apron- very nice actually- cannot remember the company- he was not amused.

Not sure if this necessarily falls under gag gift, but certainly a funny gift: https://theanimalrescuesite.greatergood.com/store/ars/item/65325/?origin=CONTENT_12T_BLOG_ANIMALCRAZY_I-65325&utm_source=content&utm_medium=12t-blog&utm_content=slide

We just attended a 60th birthday party with a Scottish theme (many there were in kilts).

I took along haggis as a “gag gift” and it was well received.

Maybe something which celebrates, rather than makes fun of, being older / wiser?

Maybe the custom m&M’s with some witty saying?

My sis had a 60th bday party. Her buddies dressed up as oldsters and gave her a purple plastic cane with a squeaky horn that her grandson loved! It was inexpensive and made everyone laugh.

H got a sort of gag folding seat with zippered storage for retirement that says, “Working Hard 2015, Hardly Working.” He actually does use the seat and smiles when he sees it.

If she has a pool:

If she likes wine:

You might try Cafe Press. They have gag T-shirts, mugs, etc. that you could tailor to fit your friend.
One mug, " It took me 60 years to look this good," or “The first 60 years of childhood is the hardest.”
Just search on their site “Old age- 60 years” and a bunch of ideas will come up.

@moonchild, thanks for the idea. I just saw a couple of pretty funny cards.

For graduation, a drawing of a person in cap/gown looking very happy, with the caption:

“Congratulations on getting through the easiest part of life.”

For Father’s Day:

“You’re the world’s greatest dad, although my frame of reference is rather limited.”

I like BB’s ideas - cute/funny not disgusting/funny. And perhaps useful!

Thanks! There’s plenty more there, abasket! I am getting some DNA champagne flutes for the big kiddo and her hubby.

You could give a nice gift in a prank gift box like one posted in the link.

Okay, that’s a good one (prank gift box with real gift). I hate gag gifts; that’s a great solution.

I agree!

Good one, indeed!

i second the cafe press recommendation. enter 60th birthday and you’ll get a lot of suggestions.

I just tried to order something from Cafe Press and had a devil of a time. Their checkout process is flawed. There is no button to click that finally says “Submit my order.”

How about this: http://www.theparagon.com/product/bath-wine-holder/gifts-for-her?p=1032018&utm_source=msn&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=product_listing_ads&utm_term

How about 60 of something? 60 Hershey kisses in a glass jar.

There’s also the sequined glamour baseball cap, on the same page as the bathtub wine glass holder.

I know a woman who does wear a hat like that and enjoys it–makes her smile to have the “bling.”
