So, I am a senior and took the sat twice without any preparation, and got 1200 something. My gpa is high, and took two ap tests which I failed. (I procrastinate and have several factors that put me off during important things.) I am planning on taking the act this November for the first time. So will it be too late to give in my scores to the colleges. And will 4 weeks be enough to self-prep of the ACT and do extremely well?
In my opinion, if you have dedication and passion, you can be successful. It may sound super cliché, but it’s true. I studied in the Chinese GaoKao system until the end of my junior year, and decided to go to the US on the January of 2017. I was never passionate about the GaoKao, as my parents had forced me into it but I always wanted to go to the US. After my parents finally agreed, I did my best to take ALL the tests. I had a 1380 in January and I got 1400 in August. A mere 20 point improvement over 7 months. I had one more SAT in October and I wasn’t sure I would do well at all. Over the course of a month, I studied with dedication and confidence and was able to get a 1530, If you believe in yourself and work hard, you can do it. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
Thank you. The thing is for some reason I lose interest in whatever I do extremely easily. Like I can dedicate myself to something, but in a few days, I will forgo it. I am going to try.
