Suggestions on studying abroad at affordable expenses.

Hi all. I have completed GCSE O levels, and will be getting over with the A levels this year. Next, I am looking for an university abroad that could be affordable and the cost of living in country should be minimal as well. The intended first degree is ACCA.

Usually U.K is considered optimal for ACCA, but the costs are exceedingly high and out of my reach.

Perhaps Italy and France could be viable options with regard to the cost, but then do they make it compulsory to learn their local language?

Your help would be appreciated.

P.S I am from Pakistan. Apologies if the thread is not categorized in the apt forum.

Most Americans study abroad on programs affiliated with their universities. Yes, they are expensive for us as well. That’s why an increasing number of American students choose Mexico, or South/Central America, where the costs are much lower.(And for us, Spanish is a very practical language to learn.) I have heard of English-language programs in Europe, but suspect they too will be very expensive, in addition to the high costs of living.

Western and Scandinavian parts of Europe are expensive to live in. Eastern Europe is where you should look if cost of living is an issue. There are a few countries in Europe where a foreigner can possibly attend a uni for free, Sweden used to be one of them but not anymore. I would expect to learn the local lang. of any country I would live in but I don’t think France or Italy make it mandatory for you to learn the lang. A lot of people also know English there in the biggest urban areas. Also if you get a degree from a country you should expect to find work there because it might be tough to persue jobs outside the country with a degree that those local employers have never heard of. They also might make you take some kind of equalivancy test or extra classes in the new country to balance out the value of your degree. For example, my step mom is an international student from Thailand and came to the US for a masters but had to take classes at a local cc before attending the MA program. Good luck
