Suggestions?

So I sort of dropped the ball for my high school career. It is my senior year, and my GPA is hovering in between 2.7 and 2.8 unweighted. I recently got my SAT scores back, and received a 780 in critical reading, 640 in math, and 630 in writing (2050 total). I’m a capable writer and am not worried about the quality of my personal statement. I haven’t had very much participation in clubs, and only have around 15 hours of community service as of right now; but I do have a second-degree black belt if that helps.

I plan to pursue a career in medicine and would like to hear suggestions of where to go as an undergrad. I’m practically guaranteed admission to CSUN, but would like to know if there are any better schools that I have a shot at. I’m open to going to a community college and then transferring if I’m told that it is the best option, but I’d like to get as many opinions as possible.

Thanks for reading.

Do you need financial aid? Do you prefer to stay at an in-state public?

Thanks for the reply. I’m not in need of aid, and I’m willing to stay at either a public or private as long as it is in-state.

Are you in Southern California? You might look at privates such as Chapman, University of Redlands, Whittier, Loyola Marymount (maybe a reach), and University of San Diego to see if they have any pre-med programs that interest you.

I’ll look into those. Thanks! :D
