Ultimate Frisbee

For Music, the University of Tulsa. There is a surprising amount of “high” culture in Tulsa.

I would also like to know about Ultimate Frisbee.*

*Not a sarcastic comment.

Williams is excellent for 2, 3 & 4. I wouldn’t say it’s a destination for computer science (especially if compared to a tech school), but the program respectable and an interest could be a plus in admissions. I think the issue is whether your daughter will choose life style or tech focus. If she goes for the former, then Williams would fit her profile very well. [I say this without knowing her academic standing or environmental preference. Williams is selective and it is also remotely located.]

My D became interested in ultimate frisbee at math camp so at every college we visit she has asked if there is a team she can play on. The answer has been yes at every school. So it seems to be pretty easy to find, especially at the tech-type schools (mainly what we have visited).

Does your DS want to be in a rural setting or just have access to camping? My D really liked Carnegie-Mellon for CS (and they do have frisbee). It is in the city but with a bus or car you could easily drive to a camping area. I think on the tour they mentioned cars being available for students to use on the weekends.

There have been quite a few other threads about CS schools. I will try to find some of them and post a link rather than try to list them all again.

we need way more info to give you suggestions, because right now probably a hundred schools would fit that criteria! Tell us

Here is one thread where most of the schools known for computer science are listed. However, I don’t know if these meet your other requirements.

Williams does look interesting. I didn’t realize that they had a Computer Science program.

Early for stats - he’s going to be a Jr. next year - hasn’t taken the SATs yet.

He prefers small towns to cities.
