summer after commencement

If you accept a job right after graduating from college, do you go straight to work or do you still have a summer? Just wondering how the process works. Thanks!

I’d think that you could pick a date to start, but chances are that they wouldn’t want to wait 2-3 months for you to start. Once you get into the “real world”, there are no summer breaks.

Most of the seniors I knew last year were co-workers, and I think all of them went straight into the workforce. A few are still searching but one picked up right where she left off at her previous summer’s internship and works ridiculous hours, another has been hired by a financial company and is still in “training/certification stage”, others also jumped right into their careers.
