Hello,
I am a bit conflicted about what I should do. I need to take a general chemistry class this summer in order to take organic chemistry and quantitative analysis in the Fall semester. But I wanted to do some volunteer work or work study during the summer. Should I do both my chemistry class and work study in the summer, or should I just take general chemistry alone?

Freshmen normally take general chemistry. Have you taken no chemistry so far?

You’re still at JJ? You should be able to take the class and fit some vol work into your time- actually, starting now. Many of your questions make it seem like you are backing into all this. Take a hard look at what med schools and your transfer school ideas want to see in your record. Google and start to get some understanding. Set your sights appropriately, realistically.

I would not advice to take Gen. Chem in a summer as it is a Med. School requirement.
