Summer classes

I have a few questions regarding summer classes. This summer, I’ planning to take a science (which meets on MTW for 3 hrs each). I’m also looking into taking International Economics, which meets on MTWR for 1.5 hours each. Is this too much? Should I just only take the science? But would the workload be too easy in that case?
Also, is it possible to get from 194 Mercer to Waverly Building or 48 Cooper Square in 25 minutes? International Economics ends at 10:35am and Life Science starts at 11am at Waverly and have a lab at CS.

Thanks in advance!

a) I did two 3 hour summer classes, but on alternating days. It all depends on what your work ethic is like. Bear in mind that professors are aware it’s summer and often assign less work because you are learning at such a fast pace.
b) Yes, you can get from 194 to Waverly in 25 minutes. Cooper Square is a little tougher. If you’re worried about it, just tell your professor if you’re going to be perpetually late.

Thanks for the advice! I’m a pretty efficient worker, but I definitely don’t want to be swamped with work and end up getting low grades in both classes because I don’t have enough time to concentrate on either. I’m a little concerned that they both meet on consecutive days AND the same days.
I spent my freshmen year abroad so this will be the first time that I move to NYC, and I would like to have some spare time to look around, set up bank accounts/cell phone etc. Would I be able to do that with two classes?
Also, in your experience, would you say summer classes are more or less difficult than normal classes?

For my major, media, summer classes were way less difficult. I got A-s without really trying. I would have gotten As, had I not succumbed to the summer heat and spent nights partying with my friends. Ha.

You would have PLENTY of time to do all that. Believe me. Summer classes aren’t that bad. Are you staying in Housing? I did Goddard, the ultimate lazy choice; air conditioning, on the Square, and I had a meal plan. Living above Starbucks during the summer is AWESOME.

Yea I’m doing housing, and thinking of Goddard too. How was your room? Did you have a roommate? I’ve never ate at the NYU cafe, so I’m not sure of the quality of the food. Do you recommend having a small meal plan and eat elsewhere, or just eat at the cafe?
Thanks again on the advices on the classes! I’ll probably do two classes then, maximize the time I have :).

My room at Goddard was really tiny, but it was fine for the summer. The NYU dining halls that are open during then are Weinstein, Kimmel and Palladium. If you like have lots of choices (and have money to spend), get a small meal plan and eat a little on campus, and a little off campus. I don’t really care either way, so I got the biggest dining plan and ate 75% of my meals on campus. Dining halls close on the weekends, just so you know.

Ok, thanks for the info :)!
