I am a college freshman that has recently graduated high school this year. Unfortunately, due to my insecurity over transition between high school and college, I was completely decimated by summer college biology, earning a C in labs and completely failing lecture. I think I have found a way to study for college, for it is very different from high school, but I am quite disappointed in myself for underestimating the intensive summer course. With a new deal created by the head of the department, I can drop the classes and still move on through the remaining two quarters of Biology.

My question is this: Would these two dropped classes hurt my chances of trying for medical school? Would they also take into consideration that I haven’t even set foot in college and tried to attempt an extremely hard course early? I’m just very worried because I have done relatively well in high school and was suddenly hit by an ugly grade so soon in my college career.
