Summer college program

I’ll be a junior in high school next year but this June I am attending a three-week academy at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. It will cover an intro to chemistry course along with an environmental health science course. I will have to complete some classes online in the fall and spring. But I will get recieve college credit for my effort.

Will this give me any leg up when it comes to applying to colleges?

Thanks for your input! =]

I’d like to add that they only accepted 55 juniors/seniors in all of Ohio. There website is http://www.bgsu.edu/departments/envh/real.html if anybody is interested. It’s only open to Ohio citizens, but they have several locations and various programs in each location. http://regents.ohio.gov/news/press_releases/2007/Regents%20Academies.pdf
