@doschicos I saw Thievery Corporation in the winter. Does that count? And Wilco - around 20 years and still releasing albums.
@doschicos – the first act I mentioned was Frank Turner. You should listen to him; he’s pretty wonderful. And definitely this decade. So there! ![]()
Also Flogging Molly, fairly contemporary, though perhaps not strictly last decade.
No acts from the last decade
H and I saw Jackson Browne on H’s birthday. We also saw Steely Dan and Steve Winwood.
Saw Adele in LA, Springsteen, Coldplay and Billy Joel in New York and James Taylor at Tanglewood during July and August - I had never seen Springsteen before live - what an amazing show!
I have a varied musical taste. So far this year I have seen Billy Joel, Barry Manilow, Neil Sedaka, Foreigner, Paul McCartney, Dolly Parton, Carrie Underwood, Journey, Maroon 5, Coldplay and still have Kenny Rogers, Dixie Chicks and Adele to look forward to.
I just love how music especially live music can make you feel totally alive and happy.
I’ve seen tons of performances this summer - both one offs and at festivals. Some off the top of my head:
Alabama Shakes
Tallest Man on Earth
Ray Lamontagne
Hurray for the Riff Raff
Father John Misty
St. Paul & the Broken Bones
Radical Face
Darlingside
Trying to stay musically relevant.
Anybody see an act from the last decade?
I saw The Lumineers - they were awesome!! Going to see The Kills tomorrow night…
I saw Billy Joel, Jimmy Buffet, Darlene Love and also a lot of tribute bands in the park. I was going to see pure prairie league in the park, but it was during the peak of the heat wave and it seemed like too much to be out for hours in that mess.
I guess none from this decade here haha.
@westcoastmomof2 I’ve been lucky to see the Lumineers a few times. They always put on a great show!
