I want to take Econ 2 at East LA College this summer, but there’s a prerequisite of Econ 1. I’m currently taking an equivalent of ELAC’s Econ 1 at my current school, UCSD. How can I bypass the prereq? Do I need to send them a transcript or do some petitioning or…?

ELAC doesn’t have a prerequisite for this class. They let you take ECON 1 or ECON 2 in any particular order. The only pre-requisite is that you must take Math 125 in order to take that class. If you go to UCSD, you shouldn’t have a problem taking the placement test and getting into the appropriate math level; math 125 is like a joke hahah
