I want to ask can I start the transfer UC couse (IGETC ) in 2013 summer?
OR is better start in 2013 fall? </p>

<p>There is no disadvantage to starting during a Summer term. It can definitely be an advantage to get a jump-start on any prerequisite classes you may need to register for transferrable courses. Just bearn in mind that Summer terms are traditionally shorter than regular academic terms during the year and the pace might be a little fast, but passing a class during Summer terms (or Winter terms if you are on semester system) count just as if you had taken them in Fall or Spring.</p>
<p>Also be sure to check the CC’s website to ensure they will have a Summer 2013 term since some schools are cutting the extra terms due to budget cuts.</p>
<p>I started during a Summer term and felt it helped a lot: I was able to take 1 required general education course that filled an IGETC/CSUGE requirement and take a prerequisite I needed to be able to register for another IGETC/CSUGE course for Fall.</p>
