Summer Engineering program for women or minority

My daughter wants to apply to a summer engineering program for women or minorities. How hard is it to get into the MIT Women in Technology (WTP) program? What are the usual SAT or PSAT scores? What other programs are available

WTP is great, though competitive…I’m not sure about SAT/PSAT scores exactly, though.
There is also MITES at MIT for minorities.
YESS at Caltech is for minorities as well.
I attended Smith College Summer Science and Engineering Program, which is shorter and not as intense, but a really, really great experience.

Also look into the LEAD Engineering Program. See the website leadprograms.org. My son did the LEAD business program and it was incredible. The majority of the program costs are covered by the organization. LEAD does an excellent job and has a wonderful reputation. Many of the LEAD participating colleges actively recruited my son giving him special applications or fee waivers too. Plus the dean in charge of the program he attended wrote reccomendations for him.

My DD is very much into science and we have found some great opportunties through the Association of Women in Science. Our local chapter as well as the local universities have some great summer study program so i would also look there.

here is the correct link for LEAD Engineering, leadengineeringsite.org;
You need at least a 3.2, 100 on PSAT or 1000 on SAT (combined CR & Math) and certain science/math courses. The colleges participating in this year are Cal, Michigan, UVA and Georgia Tech. Good luck.
