For "what did you do during summer", are they expecting a fun answer or a serious one? It's apart from the "essays" portion, so does that mean they're expecting a seroius ("dry") answer?

I put my answer in concise bullet form, but i didnt hold back on the humor.

I thought they wanted it short, but still interesting

Humor in bullet form, I don't see that done too often.
I wrote a fun essay.
I don't think they want anything "dry" that would be awful and boring to read.

the adcom said to either list what u did or describe it a little. they arent looking for something "interesting" or "fun to read" but if u did it that way thats fine. they dont care apparently lol

Yeah, they really just want to know what you did. I think they get enough of the "fun" and "interesting to read" stuff in your essays, hopefully ;) But if you did manage to incorporate some light-heartedness into it, hey, why not?
