has anyone heard from any of their friends about rejections being sent out? not trying to be negative but I was just wondering that if with the few waves of acceptances maybe there have also been waves of rejections? Or is undergrad admissions being cruel and saving those until the very end…
I am getting seriously depressed… I cannot believe there are so many of us who have not heard back yet. I have 59 hours (spring semester included.) Anyone heard anything from McCombs the last few weeks?
It’s going to be really tough to wait until June. Don’t know how I’m gonna find housing/move halfway across the country in that time 
Are you guys sure for that we ll get our decisions in jun? Not august?
I went to UT Austin this Monday and they said it could be anytime between tomorrow and Aug 1st, take your pick :).
I think it would be wisest to make arrangements elsewhere if theres no news by June. If you end up getting in later you could always cancel them

Yeah, @MyLonghorn , I so wish we get it asap and mid-june the latest. Today is the last day of cancelling my housing contract here to get the full refund, else $400 I already paid will be history :).
I think they are saying August to get people off their backs. If they say the latest date possible, then people will be pleasantly surprised if it comes earlier! When I asked if we could be hearing in August the woman in admissions literally laughed out loud and said there’s no way it will be that long. She flat out said the LATEST would be early June and she was very emphatic about that.
@MyUTAustin Do you know how competitive chemical engineering is compared to the others? I raised my GPA a bit since I got a 4.0 this semester but am still at a 3.934. Is it like petE where you NEED perfect 4.0?
@UTchemE you are in a pool with a bunch of people i know that are above 3.93-4.0 … so I’m assuming for people with 3.93s and above what matters isn’t if your GPA is .3 higher or etc … it really ends up looking at essays and resume and rec letters I’m assuming
That’s absolutely right. They said ChemE is competitive but not as much as PetE or Geo Sciences which have very few seats. I didn’t know that the PetE seats were so little until I visited UT.
Ahh okay, thank you both! This wait is literally driving me insane. I got into College Station ChemE but i’ve always wanted to go to UT. Just want to know already so I can make all the arrangements.
Hey guys, I just sent in my final transcript on the 18th. My school’s record states that through SPEEDE, my final transcript was sent. However, its been a couple of days and on MyStatus, it still says I am missing my final transcript.
Has this happened to anyone before?
@decorus same thing happened to me too. mine was sent on 18th from my college but when i checked the status page few minutes ago it shows that they received my transcript. but its still incomplete.
@regmi1 Oh yes!! Now MyStatus has received it but it also says incomplete. Keep me updated with whether or not you get to be on review! I think for the most part, we’re on the same boat.

Great @regmi1 that is one step closer towards a decision. Its all a waiting game now.
I called admissions today and “early June” is still the word for when decisions will come out (the lady told me that very few decisions have been released.) I just submitted my final transcripts (even though I had more than 30 hours when I applied.) I kept my GPA the same so figured it wouldn’t hurt to send it. Not sure if they will consider it or not. This wait is killing me.
