I forgot sharing my status sorry I’m an international transfer student currently studying in Purdue (gonna be a junior this fall). I got in to moody majoring in advertising. My college overall GPA is 3.74 befor this spring semester and I got two recommendation letters from my advisor and one of my professors.
Anyway, hope see all you guys in moody! Good luck everyone! So excited here!!!
It seemed to have been a lot of international students getting their decision this week. Do they split them into different batches u think?
Thanks ya’ll and sorry i forgot to share my stats too. Texas resident with a GPA of 3.02 ( i know its crazy low). I started school back in 2008 but couldnt even finish the first semester so i had F in about 12 credits for that semester. After that i started again in spring 2014, took 37 credit hours in 3 semesters and got all A’s. Plus point for me was that i was done with all calculus, physics and chemistry classes. I wasnt even thinking about applying to UT because i never thought i would get in. It all started with this coolest advisor from A&M with whom i was advising about transferring at that time. I wrote 4 essays and filled up 2 applications for UT and TAMU night before deadline and applied the same night.

@ecollin , yeah, we did see lots of internationals getting accepted this week.I wish the in state candidates are being looked at now for the next wave.
@MyUTAustin The application could be just in one whole pile and it just so happens that the a lot international students just happened to be looked at first.
I think it should be a good sign for the people who made it this far in the process…?
Called admissions today asking about when they will release decisions and the woman said, “For all I know you can be notified while we are on the phone or until the beginning of August.” Welp I really hope its not August.
I choose not to listen to the “August” people. 9/10 people have said no later than mid June…We had a huge wave of decisions this week. I think its a good sign!
Well the website says most of the applicants will hear their decision by June 15.

@Lunatink Definitively means we are all competitive applicants, but I wouldn’t say it’s good since many will still get cut. [Hello btw. I have been lurking around this past week and decided to officially pop in, I am applying for ME…]

Yea the July/August is unrealistic, they know they can’t do that because we’d all have to live in boxes on the street with that short of a notice. June is ridiculous enough, some of us are moving across the country on two months notice
