Has there been any acceptance for Cockrell this week?
@gifuto12 sorry about the wave of questions lol, but I forgot to ask: are you an international student?
@TheThinker7 yes one of my friend got accepted yesterday to Chemical Engineering.
Internal transfer to moody was accepted! thank goodness! good luck to everyone who has not heard back yet
Hi @Singh0001 , would you be able to get the stats from your friend please? I’m dying for Cockrell results which are just not coming out…
My app just changed to complete/on time. How long does it take to go into review?
@MyUTAustin I feel your pain. The waiting game is unbearable.
@MyUTAustin @UTpsych123 I would say by the first week of June you should get an answer
@myutaustin It stinks that we have yet to hear anything but everyone else seems to get their acceptance. Eh, congrats to them but it just increases my anxiety >_>. I’m more anxious and scared than salty.
@Toastyful @TheThinker7 I was in the situation last year when I transferred from my community college to UT.
Update: I just got off the phone with the admissions. The appeal is not possible for those who want it because of the full pool of applicants.
@donnatienlu I’m sorry to hear that. You could maybe try to apply again in the Spring semester and see how it goes. Did you also get rejected from your second major?
I just found out that I was accepted as a transfer student to UT for Psychology (my second choice major) yesterday. I want to accept more than anything but I don’t have housing on campus and I wasn’t awarded any financial aid. As far as I can tell, summer term could cost about $10,000 and the commute from my house to campus is about an hour via public transportation, if we’re being really hopeful. Also, when I click on accept, I get a message saying: “You do not have a valid application on file for which you can use this page. (XNA2).”
I don’t know what this means or if I even want to accept given my financial situation so I just don’t know what to feel. I have to accept by the 30th, pay the enrollment deposit by the 30th, attend orientation on June 2nd, pay tuition by June 3rd, and classes start next week! I had pretty much give up on this application, given that the deadline to change majors was a couple weeks ago and everything seemed to indicate that I would be rejected anyway.
So, I’d love to go but don’t think I can due to money and time, as well as lack of accomodations in Austin itself. I just don’t know what to do…
I’m thinking of reapplying for the spring semester but I don’t know about my chances for then. I would think I’d be rejected because of a larger pool of applicants for the spring term.
Anyway, not very happy and very conflicted right about now.
@spiritualwitch if the commute is only an hour, why don’t you go for it? Is your financial aid pending?
Financial aid is not pending, it’s just nonexistent, as in $0 for the summer. I also have a part time job right now that I can’t stand to lose, and i don’t know if I can make it down for orientation on June 2nd. It’s a lot of money, right now, and there’s no way I can pay it all by June 2nd. Maybe I could accept the offer, go down for orientation, and see if I can at least work up a payment plan or talk and wrangle some financial aid, in person?
@spiritualwitch I would do that, you don’t want to miss out on this opportunity
Application status complete
Are they going in any particular order? My transcript was received by them on Tuesday May 19th and my status was changed last week on either Wednesday or Thursday to complete, and on Friday it said in review.
@MyUTAustin All I know is that she has 4.0, strong essays and a good resume and had all the required courses.
She was also involved in Clubs and stuff.
@ecollin no problem, and yeah I am.
