Summer/Fall 2015 Transfer Thread

No, results may appear at the end of the day, or if my experience with any kind of administration is an indication, it will probably be another week.

I really think a lot of people will hear back this week, but I might be wrong.

I really hope to see engineering and business results from tomorrow because we barely saw some decisions in these departments. May the first week of June be with you lol

Any veteran applicants here? I’ve been following this page for three months and I can now post by saying that I got accepted! I really appreciate all of your inputs as I found them to be very helpful and entertaining. I wasn’t notified by an email or anything. I had to manually check the website. I checked without expecting much because, well, it’s Sunday. Last time I checked was yesterday, so there must have been a lag of some sort.

I got in for Econ, but my first choice was Bio. I applied last fall while I was still active just to give it a shot. I think I benefited heavily from my essays and LORs. I took some college courses before I separated. I don’t know how many transferred; I’m thinking around 40 credits. My GPA is 3.87 but I was worried sick because I have five Ws and I’m an OOS applicant. I was also accepted to UMiami, UMaryland, and Northeastern. I was rejected by USC. I’ve never been to Texas, so I’m planning to make a visit this week. They only gave me one week to decide…I wish all of you guys the best! Feel free to ask me any questions.

It’s finally first of June, so I hope we don’t get bothered any more with their “Early June reply” we should be excepting something during this week.

Six years active and still in the reserves. Almost ten years in. Just finished my AS in Math in the spring. I applied to the Cockrell school.

Any updates anyone? So far I got nothing.

Today is supposedly the day. Or week. Or month.

I still have nothing as well.

I called admissions this morning because I seriously thought that they lost my application or something. Here is what they had to say:

“Over my 20+ years working here, I have never seen decisions come out this late. We’ve had not only a record number of applicants but also a record number of competitive applicants. What they’re telling us now is that the decisions will come out throughout June.”

She also said that decisions shouldn’t be coming in July (but seeing all the past responses, I wouldn’t be surprised if it just “happened” so slip into July).

It says they have received my final transcript, but it’s telling me my application is still incomplete. Has this happened to anyone else?

@regmi1 yee lol. More like 3 weeks though. Just keep checking CASH if you need to submit any extra stuff. Got accepted 4/24 and got my financial aid 5/17.

@Lunatink Called it. We will find out much later probably.

Edit

Thank you for the update @Lunatink … its just my luck to apply in the most competitive semester in 20 years lol. I am seriously starting to accept the fact that I will probably need to decide to go elsewhere… I can wait a few more weeks for UT… but if I have not heard anything by late June I will be going to SMU or A&M

@ecollin I know right? Problem for me is I didn’t apply to any other schools. So I’m completely at UT’s mercy.

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to check in and let you all know that I think I have given up. I submitted my intent to enroll at Texas State University and found an apartment. It breaks my heart but it is getting too late and won’t have a place to live if I wait any longer. I’m coming from California and need to have a plan in place. I’ll let you know if anything changes. Good luck, everyone. Especially you, @summeroo! I’ve been pulling for you.

Someone else should call and see if they get the same answer as @Lunatink !! I am getting so frustrated. :frowning:

sigh I’m beginning to lose my patience. This is pathetic. UT is making all this money, and it seems like their admissions aren’t doing overtime.

I’m worried that if I do finally get admitted, there won’t be room in any of the orientations.
